Salt water Solé
Salt water Solé (pronounced soh-lay) is a saturated mineral solution made by dissolving unrefined salt in water until no more salt can be absorbed into the water. It is commonly used as a daily tonic to support hydration and replenish trace minerals.
Ingredients & Equipment:
Salt: ¼ to 1/3 of the jar's volume. Use high-quality unrefined salt (e.g., sea salt, pink Himalayan, Celtic sea salt; do not use standard table salt
Water: filtered or spring
Equipment: s small glass jar with a plastic or non-metal lid and a spoon
Instructionsa
Combine: fill your glass jar ¼ to 1/3 of the way full with your choice of salt.
Add Water: pour in the water, leaving about an inch of space at the top.
Shake & Rest: secure the non-metal lid and shake well. Let it sit at room temperature for 24 hours. The resting period allows the water to absorb the maximum amount of salt and trace minerals.
Check Saturation: the solé is ready when the water cannot dissolve any more salt and some crystals remain undissolved at the bottom of the jar. If all the salt dissolves, add another teaspoon of salt and let it sit longer.
